Depending on the type of knee injury that you have, the ice and heat pads will have different effects on your knee.  If you suffer from a knee injury that has occurred within 48 hours, ice packs are a good way to help reduce the inflammation that is in the knee.  For people who suffer from a chronic pain, they should consider using heat pads.  Heat pads can help relax your muscles and provide relief for your pain.

Another great way for you to help reduce severe knee pain is through stretching.  Stretching your different muscles and tendons that surround your knee can help you reduce some of the pain.  Establishing a good stretching routine is a good way to help you ensure that your knee pain is reduced.
